How to Play
Pick your spot. Barnegat Bay, Cape May, or Delaware Bay — each one fishes different every day. Check the wind under its name, then tap it.
Cast. The power bar starts sweeping the moment you pick a spot. Tap CAST! to stop the needle in the ORANGE for a good cast — dead-center in the orange is perfect.
Drift. Your orange indicator rides the tide across the flat. Watch it close…
Set the hook! When the indicator dunks and SET IT! flashes, tap fast — you’ve got about a second before he’s gone.
The fight — reel in.PRESS AND HOLD on the water to reel. Holding pulls the fish closer — the DISTANCE number counts down — but the line tension climbs.
The fight — ease off.LET GO to ease off and drop the tension. Keep the tension needle in the GREEN band on the right side of the screen.
Runs & jumps. When the fish RUNS or JUMPS, let go until it settles — reeling against a run snaps the line. But stay slack too long and the hook falls out.
Blitzes. Stripers and blues crash bait in feeding blitzes. When a blitz erupts in your drift, the bite turns on — watch for the callout.
PUMP! When the fish rests, PUMP! flashes — TAP in that moment to gain real line and tire him faster. It costs a little tension, so never pump into the red.
Sea robin pecks. Watch for sea robin pecks — little twitches that aren’t a real take. Set on one and you’ll usually miss… once in a while you hook the little bait thief himself.
Fluke. Fluke lie flat on the bottom and never jump — they bulldog deep and shake their heads. Summer on the grounds is their prime time.
Land it. Bring the distance to zero and he’s in the net. Bigger fish fight longer — the cow stripers are the trophy.
The ZONE. A fight is two jobs at once: tension on the right, and his position on the ZONE track under the bars. Keep the teal rod window on his dot — hold your finger on HIS side of the water (or use the arrow keys). Lose the zone too long and he throws the hook in the turn.
Every species fights different. Runners streak, jumpers go airborne (watch the slack at the peak!), divers dig and headshake deep, bulldoggers sulk and shake, darters zip. The logbook names each one’s style.
Set FAST. A hook-set inside a third of a second is a PERFECT SET — he starts the fight tired and pays bonus score.
Rig & retrieve. Before you cast, pick a RIG and a RETRIEVE under the spots. Rigs reshape what bites; retrieves bend the odds — Stop-and-Go wakes runners and divers, Twitch & Swing provokes jumpers.
The school learns. Every fish you hook teaches his kind. Hammer one spot all morning and the bite gets educated — switch rigs, switch retrieves, or switch spots.
The trial vs the full game. The free trial fishes Barnegat Bay and 8 species with the complete fight. The full game opens every spot, all 12 species, every rig and retrieve, the weather, the daily tournament and the trophy logbook.
The deal. The free version gives you 10 casts. The full game is $4.99, once — and update packs are $1.99.
